Buying Brazil 10,000 Reis Gold Coins
Minted from 1853 to 1889, Brazil 10,000 reis coins are slightly larger and heavier than the very popular British Sovereigns but far scarcer in the market.
The design features Emperor Pedro II on the obverse and the Imperial Arms of Brazil on the reverse. An enlightened monarch often compared to Queen Victoria, Pedro II reigned as Emperor of Brazil for 49 years. Beloved by the people, he fought poverty and illiteracy by establishing schools and colleges throughout the land, brought about industrial reform, and abolished slavery in 1888.
    True scarcity, excellent value
Relatively few gold 10,000 reis were produced originally (mintages for most years averaged less than 10,000) and many have been lost to the ravages of time and the melting pot. Precious few have survived in XF-AU condition, making them scarcer in the market than most of the European gold coins we trade in bulk. Such scarcity can drive premiums higher during periods of peak demand.
