Taipan TM15-256 Handheld Thermal Monocular
. It comes equipped with a 256x192 resolution, 12 m high-sensitivity infrared detector which can detect a man-sized source of heat at ranges up to 710 meters away. Heat sources are projected on a 720x540 LCOS monitor, and are viewable in four color palettes: white hot, black hot, red hot, and fusion. White hot displays sources of heat as white silhouettes over a predominantly black background, while black hot shows sources of heat as black silhouettes over a predominantly white background. Red hot displays heat signatures as red: the higher the temperature, the redder the image. Fusion uses multiple colors to display temperature variations white shows the hottest part of the image and purple shows the coolest, with yellow, red, and pink in between. Other features of the Taipan TM15-256 include the Hot Spot Mark which detects the point of highest temperature, and 8GB of internal memory allows the user to capture and share images/videos.
