    Description

    This listing is for an Antique
    CLOTH HAND-MADE SITTING FEMALE BAHIA RAG DOLL
    from Brazil with a Floral red, green & blue linen print, sash belt, head covering (all in the same material), open weave hem and shoulder wrap and colorful necklace (not sure what it's made from).  The hand sewn body measures app. 10" in the sitting position.  I could find no identifying marks.
    I will try and take close-up photos for you to examine the item, but a few things I noticed (not being a doll collector):
    The neck and head look to be made of similar material
    but not original
    to the body. Head is moveable but still well attached.
    I believe the undergarments are made from a type of muslin.
    The fabric looks as if it has a lot of age, but there are signs of machine stitching.
