I'm just gonna say it and everybody can go take their meds and then come back once they can stop losing it - this is the beacon that the USA should have built.  You question this?  Well check this out:
Waterproof to 11,500 feet.  Yeah, that's right.  Of course I'm assuming they had to simulate this since nobody has ever gone diving to 11,500 feet and lived to talk about it.  (Deepest who did was 1,090 feet BTW).
11 Modes.  It does 7 types of strobe/flash patterns, two fade-in/fade-out settings, and two constant-on settings.  I can tell you from experience that you can set one of these on high and use it to illuminate a room.
It runs on a 3V Lithium!  OK, maybe not as available as a AA, but the lithium is readily available and in military supply chains.
The package says "virtually indestructible" which I think is kind of an understatement.  We're talking drop out of an aircraft and fully expect it to work when it hits the ground level tough.
Battery Life is apparently 24-100 hours based on the mode it's in.  I can't be sure on this one because I've never had one eat a battery before.  I guess we just don't run them anywhere near that long.
Again, these things are amazing.  Which is why I was full on into being a dealer for them and then I got into some other stuff and now I have 27 boxes of ten left.  I'll sell you a box of ten for 0 which is each and a lot less than you'll pay for any of the much lamer alternatives.  I'm leaving the make offer light on in case you wanna buy a bunch and see if you can tickle me with quantity.  Have at it!
