Description
This unique creamer and sugar bowl were manufactured during the occupied era of Japan, between 1947-1952. The glaze is a coffee-colored brown. They are darker then they appear in the photos. They are accented with a handpainted, multicolor mosaic-like, floral cameo. They have a white detail stripe at the top of the creamer, on the sugar bowl and its top, and around the floral cameos. There are glaze pops on some of the flowers incurred during firing. The only condition issue I see is a chip on the underside of the creamer on the outside edge (see photo 1 & 9). See all photos for overall condition.Measurements:
Sugar Bowl 6" x 4" x 3 3/4". Its opening has a diameter of 2 1/4".
