American Oil-Painted Cloth Character Doll with Bobbed Hair by Martha Chase
16" (41 cm.) All cloth doll with hard-pressed facial features and well-defined hair in bobbed fashion with bangs, oil-painted rosy complexion and blue upper glancing eyes, lushly-painted lashes, white eye dots, single-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, blonde impasto-painted hair, sateen cloth body cover, oil-painted limbs with stitch-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, Nicely dressed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: (Chase stockinette stamp on leg Worn almost away as usual). Comments: Martha Chase, circa 1910. Value Points: sought-after hair style, fine original painting.
