Used in the Richmond, Indiana, Fire Department, vintage 3'11" x 33.5" cloth flag "Welcome Fire Chiefs,"
This is from the Indiana Association of Fire Chiefs.
Flag was used for their
23rd Annual Convention in Richmond on September 23 to 25, 1948. Leslie Williams was Fire Chief. Some sessions were held at Reid Memorial Church and the Leland Hotel.
I have posted the article from the local paper with my photographs. Thanks to the excellent reference staff at Morrisson-Reeves Library.
On the red cloth are large white letters: "Welcome Fire Chiefs". In the center is the logo of the association with the words, "Indiana Fire Chiefs Association Organized September 1929."
