    Description

Stethoscopic Heart Records (revised) George D. Geckeler, M.D., Columbia Masterworks Set MV-735. Undated but they are rare and old! Cover has minor wear and one torn corner, and each one of the albums are in excellent condition. A little dirty but not scratched. The binders that hold them are clean. These records are heavy and are 78s. There are four albums in the set.
On the Purpose and Use Of These Stethoscopic "Heart Records" George Geckeler, M.D. (Posthumous), Class of 1910. Prominent cardiologist and developer of the electrocardiogram. This set of albums is a comprehensive group of records of Heart Sounds, Murmurs and Arrhythmias. Instead of building up case records with illustrations, it was considered wise to present and describe specific types of abnormalities, frequently using normal for comparison.
The pictures of the list of recorded heart sounds was obtained from an on-line reference.  Unfortunately I do not have that information.  This set contains just the album notebook with 4 vinylite albums in covers
I did not play the records to test them.  If you have any questions, please contact me for more information or more pictures.
