This eagle is BIG - over 2 feet wide!
This eagle is HEAVY - almost 9 pounds of CAST IRON!
This eagle is OLD - 80 to 90 years! Castings this heavy typically date to the 20's and 30's. By the 40's and 50's, the iron would have been considerably thinner, or the whole thing would be cast in aluminum. Note also the heavy cast-in brace on the back

This is a BIG HEAVY Impressive EAGLE, with a wingspan of over 2 feet. The eagle is stooping with big talons extended! A very good quality casting with cast-in brace on the back to manage the massive weight.
Very solid and beautiful quality and great detail that you just can't find anymore.

Made of CAST IRON, Perfect for display indoors or out. Needs to be mounted on something SOLID - this is a HEAVY Eagle.
We were told the estate got it from an old firehouse building in Danvers Massachusetts.
Painted a dull antique gold over red primer. - a careful hand paint job that may be original to the piece. This could be hung as-is, touched up, or refinished in black or gold - left to the buyer.
A few chips in the gold paint as shown and some small spots of oxidation on the back.  Original holes in both wings to allow for mounting. This could be hung as-is and would easily last another 90 years, or carefully refinished to last another 150 - left to buyer. Displays beautifully. .
Nice vintage condition. Original color is still fresh, despite some wear showing aluminum on head and chest, as well as some small areas of OXIDATION front and back of tail, all as shown in photos.  Refinish those areas if you choose - left to buyer. Displays beautifully.
